I believe it would be a 1542CF. However, I would like to ask just
what kind of problems the older 1542Cs have encountered? I have
a 1542C that I got in April 1993 and that was not long after they
were shipped. I have had no problems with it running a cd/rom and
a QIC-525 drive. The only troubles I'm aware of are from running
the DMA transfer rate higher than the machine can work with, but
that is a config type issue.
