Hi,
I'm running NetBSD-current (06 feb 1994) on 7 486 box, whith Xfree 2.0, and
xdm for login. User's home directory are on nfs servers (sparc, SunOS 4.1.3)
mounted with amd.
At login, amd mount 2 or 3 nfs filesystems ($HOME, /var/mail and eventually a
directory whith some pictures for background). At this moment, the machine's
load is about 1 (given by xload).
Sometimes, amd hang at login: i get on console:
amd[113]/info: Flushed /amd/<dir>; dependent on <server>, but never
<server>:/home/<dir> mounted fstype nfs on /a/<server>/home/<dir> for one
of the server, and then
 nfs server amd[pid] not responding.
The machine is still working, but all the processes are waiting for amd,
neither rlogin or rsh works.
One time, i had a root terminal on a machine when amd hang when a user
logged on console. ps said me that amd was waiting for a 'ttyopn'

amd is started whith a nice -10. It logs all message to /dev/console.
I've tried to disable message loggin, or send them to syslog, but this didn't
change anythings.

Once i've succesfully logged in, i've never had any problems whith amd,
even if the machine is loaded.

I have used amd 5.3 whith NetBSD 0.9 or prior versions of NetBSD-current, and
i never had this kind of problem.

Has anyone else seen this ? Has it been fixed in NetBSD-current ?
