	FreeBSD -current has changed the gettytab file for default 8n1
use.  You can grab it directly from freebsd.cdrom.com in (approximately)
/pub/FreeBSD/FreeBSD-current/src/etc
This should help.  You might also consider compiling your kernel with
options COM-BIDIR
	It might also help with your problems.
