I am running FreeBSD 1.0.2
Has anyone noticed a problem when using np(no parity- CS8) that when the remote modem calls up that some garbage characters get recieved by the getty. Getty seems to thing those garbage characters are a user id and calls login.

Secondly, if the remote modem hangs up and my local modem hangs, but the login(or shell that is running) never gets killed.

Can anyone help, or post their gettytab?
