First of all, yes, you're absolutely right about 1.1.1.1 not matching
255.255.255.0. I don't have any references with me (I'm at home, not work)
but would a better choice be w.x.y.z where w > 128 ?
However, the clients I'm using haven't minded this choice.

The only question I have is: what if I don't have a network.ed0 file ?
Maybe I do and missed it ?
