You may obtain information on the SCSI controller IC used in the 1510
adapter in a manual sold directly from Adaptec.

In addition, Linux has a driver for the controller. You might wish to
start there.

(The 1510 controller is a non-disk-boot version of the 1520 which is a non-
diskette version of the 1522.)
