I have downloaded a small editor called easy edit. It is a small full screen
editor that has on screen menus and supports cursor and editing keys.

For the none vi people out there, it is a friendly editor for email, news, ...

I compiled the editor and it works. However, it dumps core if I run it from
the console. Why would something work via a network login (telnetd) and not
from the console?

I login as the same userid in both examples.

I am using FreeBSD 1.0.2 (not current)
