OK, it seems to fail in the authentication stage.  On my linux box, I can
telnet into the server, and do a USER xxx then a PASS xyxyx, and get a
response back about waiting messages.  On the UCB Popper(for FreeBSD), I 
never get past the password, says -ERR incorrect password.

Has anyone got a working port of UCB popper for FreeBSD 1.0.2?
