This is a known problem with the GUS and so far I have no clue as to what is
causing it . I will spare all of you everything that I have done to try
to solve this problem. I even have a freebsd kernel which does not have
this problem with no change to the sound driver, what is different about
it is that I included other kernel modules like NFS and a couple of other
options.

When I find the cause of this problem I will post the answer to this 
problem.
