Hi,

I am having a problem with compliling emacs, and I was wondering if
anyone had come across the same thing....

I get the emacs 19-19 source from freebsd.cdrom, and was trying to
install it on my machine running NetBSD0.9.
I used gmake, as advised, andran a configure very simliar to the
one shown in the README.FreeBSD, and the compilation worked fine.
However, temacs doesn't seem to do anything, and when I try the
emacs executable, I get the message:

/users/source/bin/emacs: 1: Syntax error: "(" unexpected

If anyone could give me a hand, I would appreciate it!

Thanks,
