A friend and I are having problems with the Taylor uucico in FreeBSD-1.0
literally wedging the system, when collecting email from a remote site with
a V.42bis modem using essentially factory settings. It doesn't seem to
hang using null modems, even at 115200 bps. The system hangs a fair way
into reception of email (i.e some messages are received corectly first).

If anybody else has see this sort of thing, could they please email me,
especially if there is a solution.

Same problem here. When using uucico with the sio drivers, the system
will hang after a while or two. Maybe that's because I'm using 16450s
only (I haven't gotten around to buying 16550s yet), but this problem
was definitely introduced with my update to FreeBSD-1.0-GAMMA (the sio
supplied with 386BSD & pk worked just fine). On the other hand,
Taylor UUCP was updated as well with FreeBSD, so it might still be a
UUCP problem (but unlikely, since I remember running Taylor 1.04 under
386BSD w/ pk with no problems).

At the moment, I'm using the com drivers which run fine except for the
speed and the occasional "silo overflow".
