Again; I'm running a 1542CF just fine on 3 machines running NetBSD-current
and have never experienced problems.  I see someone mentioned the FreeBSD
word so your mileage may vary.  I've never actually tried it with FreeBSD
before so.....

(though this doesn't prove whether it's a "C", "CF" or "B" but you'll 
have to trust me.)
