Hi,
I know this question is not a BSD specific one, but just wonder has there been
any filesystem implementation that is able to mount a particular directory
instead of the whole filesystem. Also, this includes NFS, RFS, AFS or equivalent
implementation. I think it should be useful for people who only want to
mount/import/export part of the filesystem (ie a particular directory) without
exposing the unneccessary info, even they can be just READ-ONLY or without
access permission. Probably it can be built transparently into the existing
implementation so any filesystem access will restrict the access to the only
designated space, ie much like a resricted shell; and attempt to address any
non-designated space will simply result in error return, possible ?

That also makes mounting/importing/exporting more secure and usable by
non-root-privilledge users.

Thanks in advance, and email replies please.
