Summary: Something screwed up with the password db
Keywords: login

I have the following problem:

I can't login on any account that has a password on it. Login doesn't ask even ask for a password, it just tells me 'Login incorrect.' If I delete the
password, I can login without any problems, but it isn't the proper way to set
up a root account.

When I run passwd (the program), it responds with 'Mismatch; try again, EOF to
quit.' It prints this a million times, ands the only way to stop it is to kill
it from another terminal.

I've tried running pwd_mkdb, useing binaries from another FreeBSD machine, but
the problem won't go away...

Help me!
