I find it hard to fault the NetBSD developers for this when I consider
the following:

1. They are even more busy than I am.

2. Any person can obtain the new code related to telnetd and ttys and
diff it against the old ones to see the changes.

3. There are 22 mailing lists people interested in fixes and new
   development can follow.

4. Every mailing to those lists is available via gopher on
   sun-lamp.cs.berkeley.edu in the mailing-lists directory.

Perhaps the NetBSD core people should add the mailing list and gopher
info to .sig files...

I'm satisfied they've set up substantial methods to keep users clued in
to what they're doing. Usenet just doesn't happen to be the primary means.
