it's really easy to compile:
just unpack, choose 4.3BSD options in the sysdep.h or whatever file it
is [tune/h???], and uncomment the sunos flag, and then
add -traditional to the CFLAGS in the makefile.  should work
perfectly fine under 386bsd.

there might be some problems with the recover program, but that's about
it.  [they're rlated to the fact that john payne used some of
the fields of the _iobuf stuf....]
