No, but I offered to do the work to the NetBSD group just a few hours
ago on the current-users list.....

Yep, as of version 1.2 syscons builds under NetBSD-0.9 and -current up
til 940131. Syscons-1.3 is due shortly and builds under -current as of
940201 (and later).
