First of all, it's not an Adaptec problem that you can only use <= 16MB
or RAM, it's an ISA bus problem.  So, getting a different ISA card buys
you the new features of that ISA card (the Buslogic maybe faster, I
don't know), but it will NOT get around the hardware limitation of DMA
past 16MB.

You need the Buslogic kernel and not the Adaptec kernel.  The two
cards are different enough that they require two different device
drivers.

Try using the kc-bt-floppy (bt == Bustek, which is now Buslogic)
