	it worked fine for me under 0.9.  there was very little i had
	to do, except to use the -traditional flag under gcc.  i had to
	hack at one point also where it tries to get the free count of
	characters in the sun-styles _iobuf's. it wasn't hard other
	than that though.

	however, under current, it's a bloody nightmare, as the curses
	stuff seems to have changed a lot.  i just took a look a the
	errors and decided that since the machine wasn't connected to
	any networks, it wasn't worth it :-)
