What I finally did to get my Micropolis from 518 (!) to 512 bytes / sect was connect it to a DEC Alpha AXP system with OSF/1 on it. The scu tool of OSF/1 lets you do what you want. This is probably no option for U :-( BTW SCSICNTL.EXE should of course offer an option to change bytes/sec. I heard that there is a new SCSICNTL that has more functionality. Maybe also the function you want.
