Make sure all extended features of the 1542CF are disabled.  The new
driver that will be in 1.1 automatically turns off all the extended
features, so this won't be necessary for the next release.

(Things are moving very rapidly towards the next release, lots of
 new/fun stuff going to be in the next release. :-)
