Hello:

We are looking for a client/server database for course management.
This database will be installed on a database server which is connected
to the campus network. The course database will be used to provide course
and lecture information. Students should be able to do queries to the d
atabase from any machines ( such as Sun running X window or UNIX, IBM
compatibles running Microsoft Windows or Windows NT and Macs ) connected
to the campus network.

In a word the database should be networkable and should provide platform
to unix , X win , Mac system 7, MS Windows ....

Does anybody know what database can serve our purpose ?

We are able to develop our own user interface on Sun , Windows NT and Macs.

I don't check the newsgroup regularly, please email to

         weng@bodega.stanford.edu

If anybody have any products which might serve our purpose , send detailed
information to

            Escondido Village 93C
            Stanford University
            Pala Alto, CA 94305

Thanx in advance
