hello,

The notebook I'm considering to buy comes with an external floppy
connected to a dedicated port (not the parallel port).
Have anyone tried to boot *BSD or Linux from a floppy of this type ?

and one more question:

my second option is a TI Travelmate 4000. Does someone know if the SCSI
optional module is of a type supported in *BSD||Linux ?.

thanks,

Paco
