I've been asked to comment on FreeBSD 1.1, and when we expect it out.

Since 1.0.2 was just released on CD-ROM, I wouldn't expect ANYTHING
for at least 2 months in regard to a 1.1 release. However, we're
probably going to make another minor patch release in that time, so
it's *possible* that the new wd driver would make it into that release,
but I wouldn't hold your breath.

With shared libraries, and entire new VM system, /proc filesystem, and
lots of other things that have changed since 1.0 we want to give 1.1 a
good shakeout before it's release.

There have been some significant performance enhancements since the last
release, but they need to be shaken out and such before the public can
rely on them to be stable among all sorts of loads and conditions. (Things
are looking promising so far)
