I'm trying to sort all this out - at the moment, I think that the
following will be true before I announce this on comp.os.386bsd.announce:
- the counter will be named bsd-counter@uninett.no (this works now)
- simple registration will be "I use <BSDversion> at <place>"
(just send it like that now, I will sort it out later)
- all reports will have "freeware BSD" in their headers; introductory
text will refer to this only (working on it)
- machine registrations using //MACHINE will distinguish between the
versions as distributions (this works now).
BTW, at the moment there are 19 registered machines, they split like this:

2 11.8%: 386bsd
6 35.3%: freebsd
9 52.9%: netbsd
(report "machines", available from aun.uninett.no:pub/misc/386bsd-counter)
There are 90 registered users, most of whom are simple registrations.
