I am having a strange problem. For awhile now (as long as i can
remember) the program strip(1) or install -s has allways failed to work.
It usually comes back with blafoo: Innapropriate File type or format.

Messing with file(1) i found that my magic file was corrupt. So i built a
new file(1) and magic(5) from the sources on sun-lamp. Howver the
problem still persists. I also attempted to compile a new strip(1) but it
errored out during make with "undefined symbol N_TRELOFF referenced from
text segment"

That one mystified me. and yes.. i grepped for it everywhere.

please help.. my binaries are outrageously large and are getting out of hand!
