Hmm, I suspect LILO left something around that FreeBSD doesn't like, since
FreeBSD requires that everything is done by FreeBSD.

When you boot DOS, do you still get the LILO menu?

If LILO is still around, what you can do is use a floppy and then when
you get the menu type

wd0:/386bsd and see if it boots onto your hard-drive.

(Something like that, it's from memory)

If that works, then you need to re-install the bootblocks.
