Ok, I've got it limited to boot time.  If a fs from wd0 is in /etc/fstab the
machine will lock (BSD or MSDOS, it doesn't matter).  However, if it 
does make it, I can fsck and mount later no problem.  It seems that it's
only a problem at boot time.  I've repartitioned and newfs'd wd0 again and
the problem persists.  The disk geometery jogs at all levels.  I'm outta ideas
at this point. I'm going to check the jumpers tonight, but sans that, anyone
else have anymore ideas?  I suppose it could be crappy hardware.  The two
The DEC supplied drive is a Qunatum and the other is a Maxtor.  Shouldn't be
a problem, but maybe it is.  I know that Maxtor  is config'd right, I better
check the Quantum I suppose.....
