Ok....this probably fits in the category of stupid questions, BUT I am
stuck and in need of a little help. The NetBSD install seemed to go well
and I have run the configure program and rebooted. Now comes the tricky part..
it asks me to login. Well..I want to login as superuser (su) so that I
have full access to the system..BUT..the next question is password.
Haven't got the foggiest as to what to do now. Is this password contained
somewhere in the documentation for NetBSD? I have searched the FAQs and the
install files and just about every other file I can think of for the words
superuser or login and there is no reference to this particular problem(?).
Only one glitch in configure that I can remember..when it asks for the IP(?)
name..I gave it moser.host.domain. It complains that this is wrong but I'm
not sure what name I should assign it. Bye the bye..I did actually
get into the system by loggin in as root..but it complains
later that I should not login as root but as su. So..I'm back to my
original problem as to how to determine the password for superuser.
Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanx! Jim
