OK, I got FreeBSD installed.  Now I need some help with setting up
my modem.  The machine has on com port which is recognized as sio0 with
a 16450 UART at 0x3f8-0x3ff irq4 on isa.  The modem is a USRobotic Courrier
V.32bis with ASL.

The modem dipswitches are as follows

I have the minor device number for /dev/tty00 is 28
After booting, I issue the following command.

stty -f /dev/tty00 clocal.  This command appears to work as it returns no
errors.

In the ttys file, I have the following;
tty00 "/usr/libexec/getty mod.9600" unknown on modem"

The remote file is the default from the installation.

The problem is this,  when I try to tip or use kermit, the recieve data and
send data lights flash, but the modem never goes off hook.  

What am I doing wrong.  

I would like to configure this line to be dial out.
