PROBLEM: No response from the modem whatsoever. Leds HS RD SD TR MR stay on all the time when the modem is turned on (led SD should be on only when the modem sends data and RD should be on when the modem receives data) The cable wiring is as follows: ________ ________ | |1 -------------- 1 | | | |2 -------------- 2 | | | |3 -------------- 3 | | | |4 -------------- 4 | | |DB-25 |5 -------------- 5 |DB-25 | | |6 -------------- 6 | | | |7 -------------- 7 | | | |8 -------------- 8 | | | | | | | | | | | |20-------------- 20 | | -------- -------- One DB-25 is connected to the modem and the other to the serial port adapter cable which is connected to port a on the Sun.
