I am running FreeBSD 1.0.2, but am having a problem using a WANGTEK 5525ES
SCSI tape drive.
Using the stock SCSI drivers, i get an illegal request when the driver tries
to set the density and blocksize of the tape.
Since Julian has put some new drivers on freefall.cdrom.com, i updated the
drivers, but am still having the same problem.
Using the new drivers, i also get cd0: not ready on startup. The old drivers
would always recognize my cdrom (a Toshiba XM3401B).
The same system also has a HP 45470 DAT tape. I have no problems accessing the
HP tape.

My configuration:

Micronix 486/66 DX2 EISA.
28 Mb RAM.
Adaptec AHA-1742B.
Maxtor XT-8760S HD.
Syquest 88 Mb removable.
Wangtek 5525ES REV 1 tape.
Hp 45470 REV 1009 tape.
Toshiba XM3401B cdrom.

I hope somebody can give any clues on what might be causing the problem,

Adri Koppes
