I used to be able to log into my FreeBSD machine as a non-root user, however,
I have evidently done something to screw things up. I have been playing
around with both /usr/libexec/getty and /usr/bin/login to try to fix a
console keyboard lockup problem. I believe that I am currently using the
original login and getty programs. Somewhere along the way I became unable
to login as anything but root. All other ID's abort from the login procedure
with the message /bin/csh: permission denied. I have looked at the permissions
on /bin/csh and it appears that it should be readable and executable by
everyone. Does anyone have any suggestions?
