Andy, I did receive some pointers from people who have been very helpful
by telling me where to find additional information on the various flavors
of BSD's.
After looking at the assorted FAQ's, documents files and source
code I can now begin to understand the difference in goals, philosophy
and "raison d'etre" if you will , to quote from a FAQ, of the different
threads of development.The system selected from the information
gathered will be, not because it is the best, but simply because it
suits the task at hand.
While I can certainly appreciate your attempt at humor in the above
quoted response to my query, I am reminded that there is indeed a very
fine line between cleverness and stupidity.
