I am still using a patched version of 386bsd and it's been working
fine. Soon I will move to FreeBSD or NetBSD, but I do not have a SCSI
system. I have two IDE hard drives and no tape backup. That's the
problem.

Is there any support out there for non-SCSI tape drives? The last
time I looked at the compatible tape list, they were all SCSI. Now,
I've seen a good price through MEI/Micro Center for a QIC 80
compatible tape drive for about $150. This tape drive works off the
floppy controller.

I really can't afford a $500 tape drive at this time, and sure can't
afford to invest in a SCSI host adapter AND a tape drive.

Any suggestions would be welcome!!!
