This would require an IPX stack of some kind and a SAP daemon of some
kind and a license for the code of some kind ("a la NeXT" 8-)).

The NUC software on NeXT machines is a licensed version of the NetWare
UNIX Client, and is a virtual file system.

According to industry press, the UC software is part of COSE, and may be
available through COSE licenses (I don't know, personally).
