Howdy gang!

I have also had some minor problems with the version of kermit that i
pulled off of FreeBSD.cdrom.com /pub/FreeBSD/tools/, namely, Kermit claims
that it " can't initialize modem " on any port other then /dev/tty00 or
/dev/tty01. This grows somewhat stranger when one considers that the problem
changed depending on the modem i was using!

	Using my friend's 14,400 the command " set line /dev/tty whatever "
would hang indefinetly(sp!!) and would require a ^C to get my kermit prompt
back. Strangely, if i used the set speed command afterwards it would indicate
that the desired line had been succesfully opened! If i attempted to dial out
on any other line then /dev/tty00 or 01 i would get the " can't initialize
modem ".

Using my trusty Practical Periph. 2400, i can get the kermit prompt
back without any problems. However, i still can't dial out on any line other
then /dev/tty00 or /dev/tty01

i hope this can be solved! i use my /dev/tty01 for my mouse and
/dev/tty00 for the interface for my TI-85 calculator!

i wish u all a most excellent day!
