After perusing the comp.os.386bsd.* heirarchy for a bit, and wandering through
places like agate, I'm a bit puzzled as to where to look for software to run
on a *BSD system.

For example, suppose I'm running NetBSD and I want to install INN. Should I:
(a) get INN from the official INN distribution site (or mirror thereof) and
assume that it either "just runs" or the modifications for NetBSD are already
built into the current version;
(b) look for a *BSD port of INN on a 386bsd archive site;
(c) try and find a NetBSD port of INN on a NetBSD archive site;
???
