People interested in the "why" of this situation might want to read
the article by Gary Andrew Poole in the August _UnixWorld_.  The piece
begins, "Roel Pieper, president and CEO of UNIX System Laboratories,
Inc., doesn't care about the UNIX community's past.  He just wants to
make money."  Although written before the BSDI lawsuit began, the
article gives some good insight into the thought processes and
attitudes at USL.
