Hi !
After solving my problem with the 20MB ram I have another problem.
When FreeBSD comes up, it stops at the beginning of the boot with the
message:
Error loading operating system.
But when I'm booting from a floppy without any kernel and tell the boot-program
it should use hd(0,a)/386bsd then it works. The system boots from disk and all's
going ok. Why does the system not boot from disk ? I have a Maxtor XT8760S
SCSI-Disk, and the first partition is a DOS-partition.

The second thing I want to know is: how to get up XFree ? I tried different
Xconfig files but nothing went right. Is there anyone which have a
Sigma Legend VGA card or something similar with ET4000 chip ? I tried
the modes from modeDB.txt but it never worked. Perhaps someone can mail
me a sample-XConfig from his/her own configuration ?
Or do I have to build a new kernel to run X ?
Thanx in advance !
Bye,
        Udo
