Jordan implies that there will be no merger between the NetBSD and
FreeBSD groups because of fundamental differences of opinion. But NOT
   about technical issues???????

   Why?

Because, perhaps like the Jets and the Sharks, a number of the members
of both groups hate eachother's guts. Fortunately, we're not living
in the same neighborhood, so knife fights to the death are rare.. :-)

It's gone too far to merge any of the personalities. Now it simply
remains to be seen whether or not they can ever work together in
any respect, or at the very least lay down their arms.
