WHAT IS THIS BULLSH*T ! Two months ago I bought a CompuAdd 486-66 tower
(please hold your comments) which has an onboard SCSI-II (FAST) chip
(Adaptec 7770) which is two channel or wide (theoretically). To use it I
have to load an ASPI7DOS driver, which is also used for the 274x
series. Do I now see that Adaptec is making it VERY DIFFICULT for device
driver writes to interface with this on-the-motherboard chip.

Didn't anybody learn squat from IBM and the OS/2 device driver debacle ?

YOU MAKE IT EASY FOR PEOPLE TO EXTEND YOUR HARDWARE/SOFTWARE, SO THEY
WILL WANT TO PLAY WITH IT, AND ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO DO THE SAME, WHICH
WILL INCREASE SALES !

If I have to buy a separate adapter to run linux, etc., with SCSI,
it WON'T BE ADAPTEC.

Where's my charge card, dammit!
