I just bought a cheopo PC to have at home (KLH clone, 1 meg/386 for now, 40 meg Hard)

My 386BSD disk boots on this machine (doesn't do anything, complains about the lack of ram...should it come up with a prompt?)

It prints the initial half a screen and just doesn't seem to do anything (but I ddin't expect this machine to run Unix).

Anyone know what wrong withthe Compaq? I tried several machines (with up to 16 meg of ram) with the same (negative) results.
