Hi...

I've tried to install both freebsd 1.0 and netbsd 0.9 on an ibm thinkpad.
results:

netbsd dies (reboots) during autoconfig. presumably the probe for one
of the nonexistent devices causes the thinkpad to throw up.

freebsd gets through autoconfig, but apparently the keyboard generates
the wrong scan codes, so I can't talk to the installation program.
(e.g. the '`' key seems to generate control-H)

has anyone managed to get either 386bsd port to work with one of these beasts?
