: Hello everyone!

: I have a 14.4 modem sitting on com2 of my 386/33 PC (tty01). I made

:
: I figured that it is not gettying that port. The problem is I don't know
: what to do about it! I could use some help here. Are there any switches
: to stty or maybe switches using AT commands on the modem that will help the

:
: I am sure people have gotten this working. All help is appreciated.

hmm, did you make shure that dialups are done with 7E1 ? (nasty, i know...)

. you better try to config your com-port 'bidirectional' (/sbin/comcontrol):

crw------- 1 uucp wheel 28, 1 Sep 25 04:30 /dev/sio01

crw-r--r-- 1 uucp wheel 28, 1 Nov 4 00:55 /dev/ttyd1
crw------- 1 uucp wheel 28, 129 Sep 25 13:51 /dev/cua01

my /etc/rc.local:

/sbin/comcontrol /dev/ttyd1 bidir
echo '/dev/ttyd2 set bidir'

/etc/ttys:
ttyd1 "/usr/libexec/getty std.38400" vt100 on

or so...

so long,
            frank
