You would better get XFree86 release 2.0 (released on Oct 31). The S3
support has been included there (heavily based on Amancio's XS3),
and lotta bug-fixing has been done. FreeBSD binaries are available
from FreeBSD.cdrom.com. They would likely run on a 386bsd, too. You'll
get some syslog warnings about the `inappropriate file type or format'
for /etc/spwd.db, but it runs though.
