As for 1540B and 1542B: they are the very same card (same circuit board, same
components, same BIOS), except that the 1542B has got the FD controller and
connector soldered on, while on the 1540 the space (and connections) reserved
for them is empty. I suppose anybody could turn a 1540 into a 1542 by getting
a FDC and connector, and soldering them...
