Hi,
I've just installed FreeBSD 1.0 in my computer.
Now, I have some problems on SLIP , my university have a
dynamix SLIP server (??), so I got different IP address and server
address every time , that means I can't write infomatation in
/etc/hosts, /etc/resolv.conf before connect. so I have to edit
those files every time after connecting to SLIP server. That is really
inconvenient. Does anyone has some good idea? Also, I can't talk to
my friend in the internet, error message said:"talk :hostname lookup
failure",I guess it's because my hostname ("unknown.host.unknown")
cannot be found on any of the nameserver on the net,am I right?
how to fix it then.
Thank you.
