When I didn't do this on a non-RR CD I got lot's of errors from the driver when trying to do a ls -lR >Is anyone using xcdplayer in FreeBSD? Should this be the case? No, it shouldn't. Device configuration should be independent of media present or not. The driver only reports drive empty or cd present.
