Guess what?  They don't seem to care any more (at least not when I asked
for the information.)  I would love to put out the 'solution', especially
since it is rather obvious and simple.  In light of the level of
hostility on this issue, I will not have -anything- to do with it
however.  It just ain't worth it.

I am deeply sorry if I offended any XFree86 people with my original posting.
I had no intention of digging into deep wounds.  I have tremendous respect for
the work they are doing.  I honestly wish I could help them.  I thought that
perhaps I had.  Apparently not.

      Had I known it was such a mess I would have never cluttered this
